Green tea has been as a part of life of Asians for thousands of free. It is not only taken as normal beverage but also used as alternative medicine  for the treatment of disease like headaches and weight loss.

Many scientists are busy in researching the green tea to find out the cause behind its potential to being a health drink. Green teas is supposed to have many antioxidants and several such biotic that help a person in weight loss.

American Journal of Clinical Nutrition and Urology published a study which showed the presence of those determinant in green tea that were responsible for weight loss. This is proved that green tea has many healthy benefits which can help a person live a sustainable life.

There are only two ways to achieve weight loss , that is either to have energy intake or have maximum energy expenditure. Green tea has such a feature that increase the metabolism rate of a body and hence helps in weight loss.

Scientists have confirmed that main determinant that helped in weight loss was the caffeine content of the green tea. During an experiment 10 people well kept at an normal western diet with 40% fat , 13% protein and 47% carbohydrates. There energy expenditure was the measured three times everyday and they were monitored to find  how much carbohydrates , proteins and fats are they absorbing .

when the final result was published, it showed that those man who took green tea had increased their energy expenditure hugely and reduced their respiration quotient and those people who were given normal tea showed very low metabolism rate.

Scientist then proved that the green tea had such ingredients that helped in weight loss and showed that these ingredients changed the way body used hormone nor epinephrine which is responsible for metabolism rate in the body.

The substance present in green tea like antioxidants and catechin polyphenol are the main cause for weight loss. These determinants decreased fat burnt calories and hence helping in weight loss.
