Keeping air pollution out of home

The  main problem (beside traffic jam) in my city(Kathmandu) is air pollution. And not only me, air pollution is a very common problem among the big cities, no matter its United States or Nepal. Everyone is now concerned about it and a lot of things are being done, a lot of money is being invested and a lot of new innovations have been getting out. Now, everyone cares about the air pollution, but do you care about the indoor air pollution. I mean the air pollution with in your house? Do you know how much the air is polluted? Do you even care about what makes the air of your house polluted? Indoor population affects you more than the outdoor populations because you spend more time in your home than outside. Specially if you’re a housewife. Here are some info.

  • Charcoal grill, camp stove etc which burns fuel produces carbon monoxide which is considered a very danger element that pollutes the air. Try to use them outside of your house. Use the carbon mono oxide detector so you always can be informed about the amount of carbon mono oxide inside your house. 
  • Fans are necessary in some places like kitchen.  And try to remove the stuffs which grows moisture. Removing carpets from bathroom and kitchens can be the examples. And your house should be fully ventilated.
  • Restrict smoking inside the house.
  • Radons are another factor that should be taken care. Seal the cracks in the floors of your house to get safe from radon problems. Taking help of the professionals to check the existence of radons is a great idea.
  • Try to avoid the use of pesticides inside the house. And if its compulsory then make sure that no one is inside the home  until sometimes after the use of pesticides. May be some days.
  • Check for asbestos. And get professionals to check if you suspect it. Asbestos can be dangerous.  Cover it safely if the existence of asbestos found.

Remembering the Reasons for a Vegetarian Season

Christmas is a time of joy and fun. It is the main time that brings families together and creates a harmonious atmosphere. It brings in happiness. This is the time to respect others feeling and desires. This is the time you decide to become a vegetarian and do it with full confidence and dedication.

When you decide to become a vegetarian what was the main factor that made you take the decision?  Was it the economic factor? Since meat products are expensive so you became a vegetarian. Fresh fruits and vegetables are much affordable and they can be stored and used later too.

Did you choose to become vegetarian because you didn’t like the way butchers kill the animal, If you do some research then you will be sure to remain vegetarian for rest of your life.

Did you convert to vegetarian life because you liked the vegetarian environment? Animal feeding destroy the land which are later slaughtered so, vegetarian lifestyle is more environment friendly.

Did you choose vegetarian life because you wanted to be healthy? A vegetarian diet can help make a body much healthier than a meat eating body. Complete Vegetarian diet helps a body fight against lots of disease like cancer, cholesterol, blood pressure, etc and meat consumption normally increase the bone decay.

Being a vegetarian is not bad; you should be proud of your decision and should take it any where you go. Once you become proud of it other will too start supporting you. Don’t worry that in Christmas season you will not have enough too eat. There are lots of vegetarian dishes that you can eat during these festivals.

Why should you become vegetarian in pregnancy ?

When you become pregnant, you always think that should you become a vegetarian and can you do it perfectly during your pregnancy period. It is possible to get all the vitamins and nutrition required for your body during the pregnancy period through a balanced diet and  a good planning but the careful observation is still required to make sure that your decision to become a vegetarian becomes success and even doesn’t hurt your upcoming child’s health. You should be smart and do everything with full control.

A vegetarian diet includes different things like vegetables, fruits, lentils, eggs and different dairy products. Junk and fast food should be avoided at most in this period. You should do a good planning because during the pregnancy period you only need to take 300 more calories and 10-15 extra grams of protein. You have to take care of your body. Whatever you eat will directly effect on your body during pregnancy. You should intake good amount of Vitamin B-12 if don’t eat eggs and dairy products.

A pregnant woman has to work perfectly with a professional doctor in this period. The process from changing from a non-vegetarian to vegetarian can be really hard on body since it cleans the whole body and this can generate some fatal results to body. You have to take all the required vitamins so that it makes sure your baby will be healthy at the time of birth. Try to get good amount of exposure to sunlight which helps you get natural Vitamin D and improved your body.

A good planning and a close observation can help you transform to vegetarian and will ensure a healthy life to you and your baby.
